REGATTA ANNOUNCEMENT 

  1. Local Organizing Committee: Reale Società Canottieri Cerea – 61, viale Virgilio Turin, Italy – Tel +39 0116504330 – fax +39 0110676816, e-mail:  info@silverskiff.org with the contribution of the Rowing Clubs C. Amici del Fiume, C. Amici del Remo, CRAL Eridano, CUS Torino, SC Armida, SC Caprera, SC Esperia Torino.

  2. These competitions are not valid for the national Italian Classification in any category.

  3. RACE SCHEDULE
    Sunday, 7th November, 2021:
    The SILVERSKIFF – m. 11.000
    A time endurance race on the distance of 11 km for men and women single scullers in the following categories: Junior A and B, Under 23, Under 23 LW, Senior A, Lightweight, Master (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I).
    Saturday, 6th November, 2021:
    The KINDERSKIFF – mt. 1.000
    A time endurance race on the distance of 1 km in 7,20 singles, for boys and girls of the following categories: ALLIEVI B1 (born in 2010) and ALLIEVI B2 (born in 2009)
    Following
    The SILVERVINTAGE – mt. 4.000
    A time endurance race on wooden boats built before 1992.
    Two competition categories: Under 50 and Over 50 Female and Male
    Following
    The KINDERSKIFF – mt. 4.000
    A time endurance race on the distance of 4 km in 7,20 singles, for boys and girls of the following categories: ALLIEVI C (born in 2008), and CADETTI (born in 2007). For these categories entries are admitted also for single sculls, both male and female

  4. ENTRIES
    The entry deadline is October 30th 2021 at 24:00 PM.
    Entries will have to be submitted through the www.silverskiff.org website.
    Withdrawals after the entry deadline have to be written to  ritiri@silverskiff.org. After October 30th 2021 at 24:00 PM, in case of withdraw, the fee for scratched entries will not be refunded.

  5. ENTRY FEES
    Entries up to 24:00 PM of September 12th 2021

    KINDERSKIFF   €  10.00
    SILVERSKIFF standard fee €  30.00
      master fee €  60.00

    Entries up to 24:00 PM of October 10th 2021

    KINDERSKIFF   €  10.00
    SILVERSKIFF standard fee €  35.00
      master fee €  70.00

    Entries up to 24:00 PM of October 30th 2021

    KINDERSKIFF   €  10.00
    SILVERSKIFF standard fee €  40.00
      master fee €  80.00

    The Silver Vintage registration fee will be € 30.00 until registration closes.

    Fees will have to be paid by credit card or bank transfer at the time of registration according to the instructions available on the www.silverskiff.org website. Registration will be effective only after fees have been paid.
    The organizing committee, in consideration of the limitations provided by the FIC security protocol for combating and limiting the spread of Covid-19, has decided to limit the number of members to 500 participants for the SilverSkiff. Beyond this amount, the COL reserves the right to no longer accept registrations.
    The organizing committee reserves the right to increase the number of members in the event that these limitations should be revoked.

    In case of entry revocation or withdrawal by the deadline, the fees already paid will be virtually reaccredited to the participant’s club who will be allowed to use them for new entries either in the same or in the next edition.

  6. REGISTRATION
    SILVERSKIFF
    REGISTRATION: on Friday 5th November 2021 from 4.00 to 6.00 PM and on Saturday 6th November 2021 from 10.00 to 12.00 AM and from 03.00 to 06.30 PM at the RSC Cerea.
    KINDERSKIFF & SILVER VINTAGE
    REGISTRATION: on Friday 5th November 2021 from 4.00 to 6.00 PM and on Saturday 6th November 2021 from 10.00 to 12.00 AM at the R.S.C. Cerea.

    On Saturday morning, in case of need, priority will be given to the clubs with athletes participating at the Kinderskiff and Silver Vintage.
    In order to streamline the registration procedures and following the FIC security protocol, the representatives of the clubs must have to show the print of the bar code found on the website at the registration page.
    The schedule of the races will be posted on the notice board located at the R.S.C. Cerea and every participating rowing club will be provided with a copy of it. Every athlete will be provided with a map detailing the race course.
    The race program will available on the event website www.silverskiff.org and a QR code will be available at R.S.C. Cerea to be able to view it on the devices of the subscribers.

  7. PROGRAMME OF THE COMPETITION 
    SILVERSKIFF
    Sunday 7th November 2021:
    –   9.00 AM: scullers will assemble in the starting area down the river from the R.S.C. Cerea;
    –   9.30 AM: start according to the numerical order at 15 seconds intervals.
    KINDERSKIFF
    Saturday 6th November 2021:
    –   12.45 AM: scullers will assemble in the starting area down the river from the R.S.C. Cerea;
    –   1.00 PM: start according to the numerical order at 15 seconds intervals.
    SILVER VINTAGE
    15 minutes after the arrival of the last competitor, the members of the VINTAGE SILVERSKIFF on route of mt. 4.000 will be given the start at 15 seconds intervals
    KINDER SKIFF all. C and Cadetti
    15 minutes after the arrival of the last participant of the VINTAGE SILVERSKIFF, the athletes in the Allievi C and Cadetti categories will be given the start at 15 seconds intervals.

    Information during the competition will be posted on www.silverskiff.org and communicated through loudspeakers.
  1. PRIZES

    A GOLD COIN AWARD worth € 1,500 will be awarded to the club of the absolute first-placed rowers of the Silverskiff regatta, male and female, of € 1,200 to the club of the second absolute rowers and € 1,000 to the club of the absolute third-place male and female rowers.

    A special prize in GOLD COINS worth € 1,000.00 is up for grabs, which will be awarded to the rower who will establish the new RECORD OF THE SILVERSKIFF COURSE, for men and women.

    A Mountain Bike will be assigned to the absolute top rowers of the KINDERSKIFF regatta on mt. 4,000, for women and men.

    CUP to the absolute winners, female and male, of Kinderskiff, Silverskiff and to the first classified female and male rowers of each category.

    MEDALS of 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded to the top three rowers in each category.

    SILVER VINTAGE: each participant will receive a participation plate;
    MEDALS of 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded to the top three rowers in each category.

    The MEMORIAL RICCARDO STEINLEITNER Trophy will be assigned and delivered to the COMPANY that will win the specific overall classification, as per the specific attached regulation.

    The prestigious SILVERSKIFF TROPHY will be awarded to the rower who will achieve three non-consecutive victories in the Silverskiff race. A special trophy will be awarded to those who, already winner of the Silverskiff Trophy, will achieve another three victories, even if they are not consecutive; a special watch will be given to those who achieve a total of nine victories, even if they are not consecutive.

  2. TIMING
    The Federazione Italiana Cronometristi will be in charge of it.

  3. Anything not mentioned in this announcement will follow the regulations of the Regolamento di Regata included in the Codice di Gara of the Italian Rowing Federation (including “Endurance races regulation”).
