The departure point is inside Parco del Valentino, in front of Canottieri Cerea, under the Castello del Valentino, a French style royal palace of the Savoia dinasty from the XVI century. From here it is also possible to see the Mole Antonelliana and, in the background, the Monte Rosa. After about 300 m. you are in the middle of the Borgo Medievale, a famous village built on 1884 as a copy of a Valle d'Aosta Medioeval Castle. Then, passed the Isabella Bridge, you can see half submarine and a minesweeper used as a restaurant. Going forward, you will pass under the Balbis Bridge and you will be surrounded by woody river's banks to arrive to the Museo dell'Automobile. In few kilometres there is a pedestrian footbridge and, after the last curve, you will find a long and straight part of the river. From this point, you can see the Gran Paradiso and the Levanne mountains. This is the turning point: you will have a castle on your right, the Moncalieri Castle, another Savoia's royal palace from the XVII century and it is a very nice example of the local Barocco style. The way back is helped by the river strenght.
