Course

The start line is beside Parco del Valentino, in front of Canottieri Cerea, and under the Castello del Valentino, a French style royal palace of the Savoy dynasty from the XVI century. From here it is also possible to see the Mole Antonelliana and, in the background, the Monte Rosa. After about 300m, you pass the Borgo Medievale, a famous village built in 1884 as a copy of a Valle d’Aosta medieval castle. After you pass through the Isabella Bridge, you can see a half submarine and a minesweeper used as a restaurant. Further along, you will go under the Balbis Bridge and you will then be surrounded by woody riverbanks until you reach the Museo dell’Automobile. After a few more kilometres there is a pedestrian footbridge and, after the last curve, you will find a long straightaway. From this point, you can see the Gran Paradiso and the Levanne mountains. As you turn the stake at the end of the straightaway, you will have a castle on your right, the Moncalieri Castle, another Savoy royal palace from the XVII century, a very nice example of the local Barocco style.
